AVERSA, 8 dicembre 2014 – Grande successo per il doppio appuntamento del “Jommelli/Cimarosa Festival” in programma venerdì scorso. Nel primo pomeriggio, seguitissimo il Convegno Internazionale di Studi “Le Stagioni di Jommelli” a cura della Fondazione Pietà de’ Turchini e del Dipartimento di Lettere della Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli presso il Salone Romano del Teatro Cimarosa.
Il convegno, con il patrocinio del Comune di Aversa, ha visto la direzione scientifica di due esponenti del mondo accademico quali i professori Francesco Cotticelli e Paologiovanni Maione ed ha rappresentato la conclusione ad un ciclo convegnistico che si è svolto in diverse sedi, nazionali e internazionali (Lisbona, Reggio Calabria, Venezia e Vienna). Nel corso dell’incontro il maestro Francesco Cotticelli ha affrontato il tema della drammaturgia a Napoli fra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta del XVIII secolo, soffermandosi sulla figura di Niccolò Jommelli.
“Il convegno – ha dichiarato il sindaco di Aversa Giuseppe Sagliocco – rientra nell’ambito del “Jommelli Cimarosa festival” che persegue un obiettivo ben più alto. Vogliamo, infatti, riappropriarci dei nostri simboli, spesso trafugati, per candidarci a città ospitale di arte e cultura. Tutto questo può avvenire solo costruendo una rete di relazioni e partnership come quelle con la fondazione Teatro San Carlo e Pietà de’ Turchini o con la Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli. Costruire dunque una rete con altre Istituzioni per raccogliere e vincere la sfida di Aversa città di turismo”.
In serata, presso il Teatro Cimarosa, si è dato spazio al concerto “Jommelli e i suoi maestri” a cura dell’ Ensemble “Dolce&Tempesta”, organizzato dal Centro di Musica Antica Pietà de’ Turchini. L’Ensemble, diretta da Stefano Demicheli, assieme ai soprani Francesca Aspromonte e Sonia Tedla Chebreab, ha eseguito brani tastieristici, alcuni di stampo didattico, firmati da Francesco Durante, Leonardo Leo, Nicola Fago e dallo stesso Niccolò Jommelli, che faranno da collante per una serie di lavori vocali degli stessi maestri.
Un evento che arricchisce ancora di più il festival dedicato ai grandi maestri del Settecento, che ha già ottenuto consensi con l’inaugurazione del Sedile di San Luigi ed i concerti del Coro del Teatro San Carlo e quello della Pietà de’ Turchini.
LE VISITE. Proseguono, giovedì 11 dicembre, con l’appuntamento alla Chiesa di San Francesco (ore 9,00 -12,00) le visite guidate inserite all’interno del programma del “Jommelli/Cimarosa”.
